Qatar sponsors an agreement between AQAP & Houthis that allows the latter to seize Qayfah in Baydha

Qayfah area in Al-Baydha governorate remained resistant to the Houthi militia for about six years, despite the Houthi’s desperate attempts to enter the area.

However, after the disclosure of an agreement between AQAP and the Houthi group in Al-Baydha governorate and under Qatari sponsorship, the situation in Qayfah has been changed and accelerated dramatically, reflecting the contents of the unannounced agreement.

Weeks after the agreement concluded between the two parties, clashes began as a prelude to the process of taking and surrendering. The beginning was with AQAP and ISIS announcing "victories" against the Houthis in Qayfah area near Radaa in Al-Baydha governorate, before news of a truce between the two parties appeared, and by the end of the week, Qayfah appears to have fallen into the hands of the Houthi militia.

On August 9, the pro-AQAP Thabat News Agency reported that fierce battles were taking place in an attempt of the Houthis to advance on the Dhi Kaleb-Yakla axes, and pro-AQAP accounts called for "mobilizing" the fighters and heading to the region.

And On August 11, the pro-AQAP identifiers reported that there was a "campaign that is the largest of its kind" to block the Houthi advance, and that "Ansar al-Sharia" had captured dozens of Houthis and killed dozens of them "even their bodies were scattered" in the mountains.

However, on August 12, surprisingly, there were reports that AQAP members were retreating to Shabwa, and that Houthi operatives were controlling their positions. The followers of AQAP began to have mercy on their deads.

On August 13, Friday, it was reported that Qayfah had fallen into the hands of the Houthis. Nothing has come from the AQAP yet.

Intelligence sources confirmed to Khabar Agency, that what happened in Qayfah was an actual translation on the field of the agreement concluded between ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Houthis, which was carried out under Qatari auspices to enable the Houthi militia to tighten the screws on areas outside their control in Al Baydha.

According to the sources, such scenarios are being repeated on more than one front in order to gain the Houthis a moral victory to ensure that more deceivers are mobilized to the battle fronts, especially the Marib front, and to give the Houthi's battles a dimension related to combating terrorism, while the truth is that they are two parties run by foreign hands aiming to destroy Yemen, controlling the terrorism card and manipulating it.

The sources reported that Al-Qaeda, in order to cover its withdrawal in front of the Houthi militia, had fabricated a case of execution and crucifixion of one of the doctors alleging the formation of espionage cells, while local sources confirmed that the case is nothing more than a whirlwind of Al-Qaeda and an attempt to throw ash on the eyes.
