Houthi missile attack kills and injures nine civilians in Marib, Yemen
Nine civilians were killed and wounded on Tuesday by a Houthi missile attack targeted a popular market in the city of Marib (northeast of Yemen).
The state news agency "Saba" quoted a medical source as saying that a civilian was killed and eight others were wounded, including an African migrant, as a result of a ballistic missile fired by the Houthi militia at popular market east of the city of Marib.
Some of the wounded are in critical condition.
Since the beginning of February, the Houthi militia have intensified attacks on the densely populated and displaced Marib Governorate, using bombed drones and ballistic missiles.
Martin Griffiths told the Security Council on Tuesday the Houthi offensive on the government-held city of Marib is imperiling Yemenis, including about 1 million who took refuge there after fleeing conflict elsewhere.
