UN calls the Houthis to respect the terms of the Hudaydah Agreement

United Nations Mission to support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA) has expressed its deep concern over the significant military presence of the Iran-backed Houthis in Hudaydah city over recent days.

"Hudaydah must be kept free of military manifestations, as agreed in Stockholm". UNMHA said in a statement on Tuesday.

UNMHA urges the Houthis to respect the terms of the Hudaydah Agreement and refrain from actions that may contribute to escalation, in the interest of all Yemenis.

During the past few days, the Houthi militia pushed huge reinforcements, including military personnel and vehicles, to the city of Hudaydah, in light of their continued military escalation and violations of the truce that began on April 2.
