Iran backed Houthis displace dozens of families northeast of Yemen

The Iran backed Houthis have forcibly displaced dozens of families from the Dhu Zayd tribes from Bart Anan district, northwest of Al-Jawf (northeast of Yemen).

Local sources in Al-Jawf said that dozens of families from the Dhu Zayd tribes of Bart Anan district were forcibly displaced and attacked by Houthi militia.

The Houthi campaign comes within their efforts to loot the lands of the tribes.

The families displaced by the militia from their original homeland were fled for displacement towards Marib governorate. However, the Houthis prevented them and detained them at a nearby checkpoint. The sources added.

For years, the Houthis have been exploiting conflicts between tribesmen, fueling them, standing with one of the parties to guarantee the interests of their leaders, as part of their efforts to seize lands and to tighten their control over the border province with Saudi Arabia.
