Iran-backed Houthis Force Dozens of Families to Evacuate Northeast Yemen

The Iran-backed Houthis on Wednesday have forcibly displaced dozens of families of the Haifa area in the Muzab valley of Al-Murashi district, west of Al-Jawf (northeast of Yemen). Tribal sources told Khabar Agency.

The displacement operations were carried out with the aim of controlling large areas of agricultural land in the region for Houthi benefit and to exert their influence over it. The sources said.

Activists on social media circulated a video showing the forced displacement of several families at gunpoint and their expulsion into the open.

It comes days after the Houthis displaced dozens of families from several villages of the Zaid tribe in Murashi and Anan districts.
