Explosion kills commander of Security Belt Forces in Yemen

A massive blast has killed a commander in the Security Belt Forces after his convoy was targeted by a roadside bomb in the southern governorate of Abyan in Yemen.

The commander in the Security Belt Forces was identified as Abdulatef al-Sayed.

The roadside bomb detonated while their convoy was near the village of Mudiyah in Abyan province, a security official said.

The roadside bomb was planted by al-Qaeda members.
