Yemeni Tribes Convene in Al Jawf Responding to Sheikh Al Hazmi's Call
Tribal delegations from across Yemen are converging in Al Jawf for a second consecutive day, answering a tribal summons issued by Sheikh Hamad bin Rashid bin Fadgham Al Hazmi following his arrival in government-controlled areas.
Tribal sources indicate that the Al Rayyan area in the Khab wa Ash Sha'af district of Al Jawf Governorate is witnessing an unprecedented tribal gathering. Numerous delegations have arrived, including sheikhs, dignitaries, and members of the Al Mashay'ah tribes, alongside groups from Dhamar, the Wa'ilah tribes, and various factions from Daham, Bani Nauf, Al Dhuwy, Al Ma'afa, and the Al Awja Al Hazm tribe.
A notable presence from outside the governorate includes a delegation from the Al Manahil tribes, who traveled from Hadramout Governorate to the Matrah Daham region. This extensive mobilization aims to forge a unified and honorable stance in accordance with established tribal customs and traditions.
The gathering is in support of Sheikh Al Hazmi and his "Rab'ah" (a reference to historical alliances and claims), who have sought his intervention to reclaim their rights and properties from the Houthi forces. This is considered a significant tribal matter, particularly for the Daham and Bakil tribes, and by extension, all Yemeni tribes under ancient customs.
This tribal mobilization follows Sheikh Al Hazmi's announcement of his arrival in government-controlled territories, where he reported experiencing torture and pressure in Houthi detention centers. He subsequently broke his ceremonial dagger in Al Rayyan, Al Jawf, issuing a general tribal call to the Daham, Bakil, Hashid, Madhaj, and other Yemeni tribes to gather and support him against the Houthi militia.
