Tribal Air Defenses Down Houthi Drone Over Al-Karama Airfield

Tribal sources in Al-Jawf Governorate announced that tribal air defense forces successfully shot down a Houthi militia drone that was flying over the Al-Karama airfields in the Al-Rayan area, eastern Al-Jawf.

The sources indicated that the drone was conducting reconnaissance missions and intensifying its flights over the skies of "Al-Karama airfields" in Al-Rayan. The aircraft was subsequently detected and successfully targeted by ground-based anti-aircraft units belonging to tribal fighters stationed in the area.

Activists on social media platforms shared a video documenting the successful operation. The footage displayed the wreckage of the downed Houthi drone being transported on a tribal military vehicle.

Areas of contact in Al-Jawf Governorate are experiencing ongoing tensions, marked by repeated threats and attempts by the Houthi militia to utilize drones for espionage or missile targeting. These incursions frequently encounter resistance and are repelled by Yemeni tribes, who have been mobilized for the past 12 days.
