Father Kills Son After Family Dispute in Sana'a

A young man in his twenties was killed by his father following a family dispute in the Mesik neighborhood of Sana'a, the Houthi-controlled capital.

Local sources reported that the victim, Abdulmalik Abdullah Al-Ahmadi, 22, originally from the Bani Ahmed area in Al-Jabin district, Reimah Governorate, succumbed to a gunshot wound inflicted by his father after an argument.

Initial information suggests the incident stemmed from the father's removal of his son's wife from the marital home and keeping her away for six months. The son's subsequent decision to bring her back escalated the conflict between father and son.

According to the sources, the father then fired a shot at his son, resulting in his immediate death. The incident has caused widespread shock among the residents of the neighborhood.
