Yemeni Embassy in Ankara Commemorates 64th Anniversary of September 26 Revolution

The Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Ankara, Turkey, held a ceremony on Friday evening to light the commemorative torch marking the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, with members of the diplomatic mission and representatives of the Yemeni diaspora in attendance.

During the proceedings, Yemen's Ambassador to Turkey, Mohammed Saleh Tareq, emphasized that the September 26 Revolution remains a cornerstone of the national memory, embodying the essential values of republicanism, liberty, human dignity, and national identity.

Ambassador Tareq remarked that this year’s commemoration occurs amidst significant national challenges stemming from ongoing conflict and escalation, which have resulted in severe humanitarian, economic, and security repercussions. He underscored the critical importance of maintaining national unity and adhering to the collective principles that bind the Yemeni people together during these testing times.

The ambassador also commended the Yemeni community in Turkey for their contributions to various sectors, including education, investment, and professional fields, noting that they serve as honorable representatives of their nation abroad. He urged community members to strengthen mutual cooperation and support, while emphasizing the necessity of strictly adhering to the laws of the host country to further bolster the fraternal ties between the people of Yemen and Turkey.
