Airstrikes Target Houthi Military Infrastructure and Weapon Depots in Taiz

Military forces conducted a series of targeted airstrikes on Saturday, destroying critical Houthi military positions, personnel concentrations, and weapons depots across various districts in the Taiz Governorate of southwestern Yemen.

According to a military source cited by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the precision strikes successfully hit Houthi operational sites and storage facilities for ammunition and missiles in the Mafraq Mawiyah and Mafraq al-Dhakira areas, located east of Taiz. A separate strike targeted a convoy of military reinforcements maneuvering along the Sixty Street in the northern sector of the city.

Preliminary reports indicate that the operations resulted in multiple casualties among the Iranian-backed Houthi militants, while simultaneously neutralizing several military vehicles and disrupting the movement of reinforcements. The systematic destruction of these assets serves as a significant setback for Houthi logistical capabilities in the region.

In the southern part of the governorate, an airstrike hit a Houthi gathering in the Al-Suwaida area of Hayfan District. A local government official confirmed that the strike targeted a facility identified as a command center, which reportedly housed several field commanders. Emergency response vehicles were observed arriving at the scene, though Houthi forces immediately established a security cordon to restrict access.

The campaign continued with an additional strike on a Houthi missile platform in the same vicinity. Local sources reported further casualties among the group's ranks, marking a notable escalation in efforts to diminish the militant organization's offensive reach within Taiz.
