Escalating Clashes and Airstrikes Reported Across Taiz Frontlines
Intense combat and targeted airstrikes have erupted across multiple fronts in Taiz Governorate, Yemen, as government forces engage Houthi militias in a significant escalation of hostilities.
Military sources confirm that the Taiz axis forces engaged in heavy confrontations within the Bani Bakari area of Jabal Habashi district and Humair in the Maqbanah district of the western countryside. Additional fighting was reported on the Al-Aqroud front in the southeastern part of the governorate, resulting in verified casualties and equipment losses among the Houthi ranks.
The conflict intensified as coalition warplanes conducted six airstrikes targeting Houthi positions in the Al-Akboush region and the Haifan district front. These aerial operations coincide with ongoing ground engagements across several sectors of the governorate, reflecting a coordinated effort to suppress militia movements.
A spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces reported that government units successfully executed eight precision strikes against Houthi supply lines and military assets. The spokesperson stated that these operations neutralized significant militia capabilities, including the destruction of three artillery batteries in the Al-Wazi'iyah front.
Furthermore, the military reported the destruction of a mobile air defense system in the Mocha region, which officials allege was upgraded with the assistance of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps experts. The operations also resulted in the neutralization of several Houthi commanders and personnel in the Mansoura and Bab al-Mandab areas, marking a major setback for militia operations in the region.
