Houthi Militia Announces Funeral for 13 Members Without Disclosing Locations of Death
The Houthi militia has announced the funeral of 13 of its officers and combatants who were killed in ongoing hostilities, deliberately omitting information regarding the specific frontlines or circumstances of their deaths.
Media outlets affiliated with the group released the names of the deceased, who hail from various Yemeni governorates. Among those identified was Captain Sultan Jamil al-Harazi. The official reports provided no details concerning the timeline or the combat zones where these individuals were killed, maintaining a policy of opacity regarding their military losses.
According to the published list, eight of the deceased originated from Hajjah Governorate: Issa Mohammed Hafeez, Abdullah Muqbil Jarbouh, Hizam Ali Abu Bar'ah, Younis Ahmed Abu Bar'ah, Haroun Abdullah Abu Bar'ah, Amin Yahya al-Salahi, Musa Ali al-Hajri, and Abdulmajeed Abdulhafeez al-Mahla.
The list further included two individuals from Dhamar Governorate, identified as Rashad Ali Murshid al-Badawi and Walid Naji Muslih al-Faqih. Additionally, the casualties included Mohammed Ahmed Abdulqader al-Aksha from Hodeidah, Ahmed Taha Mohammed Sagheer from al-Bayda, and Captain Sultan Jamil al-Harazi from the capital, Sana'a.
The militia has consistently refrained from disclosing the specific locations or strategic contexts in which its members are killed, confining its public statements to the mere announcement of funeral rites and the publication of names.
