Yemeni forces take control of an Al-Qaeda camp in Abyan

Yemeni forces stationed in the province of Abyan have taken control of Al-Hajla camp, which is affiliated with Al-Qaeda.

Field military sources said on Saturday that the forces stationed in Abyan have seized Al-Hajla camp after fierce battles with Al-Qaeda.

The Al-Hajla camp is located in a mountainous area between the provinces of Abyan and Shabwah, and it is bordered by Al-Baydha province to the north.

Last Thursday, the leader of Al-Qaeda in the Mudiya district of Abyan was killed, while the stationed forces arrested 13 terrorists, hours after the killing of the commander of the Security Belt Forces, Abdulatif Al-Sayed, and a number of security leaders.
