Several civilians and police officers sustained injuries on Friday following riots and gunfire in Mukalla, the capital of Hadhramaut Governorate. The incidents occurred during the peak of the Al-Balda Tourism Festival, which has drawn large crowds and continues until July 31.

Local sources reported that the events began on Al-Sittin beach when a dispute erupted between a group of young men. The altercation quickly escalated from throwing sand to projectile use of stones, water bottles, and shoes, leading to widespread chaos among beachgoers.
