Yemen: London High Court Decision Ignores All International Conventions

An official source in the Foreign Ministry in Sanaa condemned the decision of the high Court in London to reject a lawsuit filed by the "Campaign against the Arms Trade" in which demanded a halt to the export of arms from British government to Saudi Arabia despite the huge evidence of the use of these weapons in the crimes of Saudi Arabia against Yemen

"This is a blatant disregard for all human values which are the spirit of all international treaties and conventions, especially international humanitarian law, as well as the values of the British judiciary and the specific objectives of selling weapons for defense purposes". the source said

The official source explained that the Saudi-UAE aggression and their allies supported by US administration and UK government since the beginning of their brutal aggression against the Yemeni people on March 26, 2015 and still continues deliberately and systematicly targeting women, children, schools, hospitals, roads, bridges, markets, factories, commercial interests, etc., using US and British weapons and experts

"Since the beginning of the aggression, the coalition working to make arms deals in billions of dollars to continue killing civilians, destroy Yemen and create the worst humanitarian disaster in the world". the source said in a statement

The official source at the Foreign Ministry condemned the ruling reached by the high Court in London that the Saudi-UAE aggression did not target civilians intentionally, wondering whether the targeting of a funeral hall, wedding, markets and others was not deliberate and whether it was in accordance with the principles of international humanitarian law?

Has the Court and its judges been informed of international reports and images showing the horrors and crimes of aggression in Yemen? the source said

"The blood of martyrs of the Yemeni people during the aggression will not go in vain. The KSA, UAE, US and UK governments, that participate in the aggression will bear all the criminal and legal consequences and responsibilities of their actions and they will be prosecuted in competent international and local courts". the official source concluded
